We gather every week to focus — or refocus — on the truth of God’s word and the grace we have through Jesus. We proclaim God’s truth, submitting ourselves to it, seeking to be transformed. We collectively worship, not as disconnected individuals but as a community, through music, teaching, prayer, and sacraments. We will lead people into their full potential in Jesus Christ as we create environments where they can group to do life together, grow to become Christ-like followers, give to serve each other, go to share the good news and gather to honor God with their lives.
When are services?
We have two services every Sunday morning – a 9:30am Traditional Service and a Modern Service at 11:00am.
Where do you meet?
At 9:30am we meet in the main sanctuary on the corner of Main and Douglas Streets in downtown Dunedin. At 11:00am we meet in the Friendship Hall on the corner of Douglas and Wood Streets. You will see signage for the United Methodist Church of Dunedin. Look for our greeters outside of both services.
Where should I park?
We have parking spaces available on either side of the Friendship Hall on Wood Street. Parking may also be available along Main Street, but tends to fill up quickly.
What should I expect?
There are two different services – Traditional and Modern. The Traditional Service at 9:30am combines a weekly message with a full choir and the town’s oldest pipe organ. At 11:00am, you will find an informal crowd and atmosphere. The service lasts about an hour and combines relevant, practical, and inspiring messages for everyday life. We typically teach through books of the Bible and always remain rooted in the gospel.
How about kids?
We believe that parents are called to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children and so we strive to support them however we can. Parents are free to bring their children into the worship service or drop them off at MainStreet Kids – a safe, fun, bible-centered environment for children on Sunday mornings. Beginning at 9:00am with Early Bird Child Care, we have KidzGroups at 9:30am, a City Park fellowship time at 10:30am, and KidzWorship at 11:00am. We also have a professionally staffed nursery available for all services.
Is there something for youth on Sundays?
We believe that teenagers are an important, integral part of the body of Christ and we value their participation in the worship service. For middle and high school aged kids, Amp’d Youth brings relevant messages and activities.
