The Reverend Jason Knott has been appointed to be the next pastor of Dunedin First United Methodist Church by the Florida United Methodist Conference.
Jason grew up in the small town of Englewood, Florida, just south of Sarasota, FL. He is married to Jenny Baldridge Knott, and they recently celebrated their 7-year wedding anniversary earlier this summer. They have two young boys – Micah (two years old) and Elijah (six months).
Jason first heard the call into ministry during a mission trip in the Dominican Republic, and later had this call to ministry confirmed at the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry at Florida State University. Jason graduated from FSU with his Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and is a diehard Seminole fan. If that offends anyone, he would like you to know that his wife is a Gator! He graduated from Duke Divinity School and has been serving the past 3 years at Ortega UMC in Jacksonville, Florida as an Associate Pastor.
Jason and his family enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, and doing just about anything that involves being outdoors with good friends. Jason has a passion for preaching and teaching, with a vision for leading the church in ways of mission and outreach. Jason and his family are very excited about this move and can’t wait to meet everyone at First Dunedin.
